Nowai L. Keleekai-Brapoh, PhD, RN, NPD-BC, CCSS™
Dr. Brapoh is a healthcare leader with 20 years of experience in nursing research,
quality and patient safety, and professional development. She had a long tenure as a hospital-based nurse researcher where she facilitated the development of original research and integration of evidence-based practice into professional nursing practice. She utilizes a collaborative approach to drive organizational change at all levels, and her research covers a range of topics relevant to providing quality nursing care. She has published and presented her work locally and nationally. In her current role, Dr. Brapoh provides executive oversight for nursing quality, professional practice, and innovation at a large, Level I trauma academic medical center. She also has a passion for helping nurses grow to their fullest potential and has served as a mentor for both the American Nurses Association and the Association for Nurses in Professional Development.
Dr. Brapoh received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University, her Doctor of Philosophy from Columbia University, and is board certified in Nursing Professional Development.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and entertaining family and friends.
